You should always buy as much coverage as you can afford. Some venues (hospitals, schools, churches) may require that you carry a specific limit. You should always check with the landlord if you are teaching outside of a Moksha Yoga Studio.
Yes. Our policy is designed to provide coverage wherever you work in Canada, including from your home or even if you provide a private lesson in someone else’s home. The coverage is not specific to one location but is provided to you as an individual and travels with you wherever you work.
All types of yoga are covered, including hot yoga, childrens’ yoga, pre-natal yoga, baby and me yoga. The only type of yoga we cannot cover is aerial yoga or anti-gravity yoga.
We can insure more than 101 modalities, most at no additional premium. We will require a copy of your certificate of training for each modality. For specific questions regarding the modalities you practice, please send us an email ( syule@LMIcanada.com ).
YES! If your liability policy is occurrence form, it provides a life-time of protection for you. If you retire or cancel your policy, our insurance will respond to claims that occurred while the policy was in force, no matter how long in the future they are reported. However, a claims-made, will only provide protection while the insurance is in force. You have to keep paying insurance, even after you retire in the event that you are sued. You stop paying for an occurrence policy when you stop practicing. Our policy is an occurrence form policy.

Payment can be made by personal cheque or money order or, Yes, you may pay by VISA or MASTERCARD. We require the card number and expiry date. Please make sure you include your payment with your application.
All cheques must be payable to Lackner McLennan Insurance.
This Insurance is not subject to HST, but for Ontario and Manitoba residents, the policy is subject to 8% PST.
